SBRRB Mtg - review ARE concurrent with IDP

Small Business Regulatory Review Board (SBRRB) will meet on 10 December 2012 (Monday) to review the draft rules to allow ARE concurrent with IDP.  The AIA Hawaii State Council strongly encourages members to attend in support of the draft rules.

AIA Hawaii State Council Support Letter

From Amy Blagriff, Executive Vice President AIA Honolulu/ The Center for Architecture:

Please mark your calendars. Dec 10. I just got word that the  Small Business Regulatory Review Board (SBRRB) will meet on DEC 10 to review the draft rules to allow ARE concurrent with IDP.  It would be great to have a number of firm principals and candidates to attend this hearing. We have been working for years to affect this change.

Note the role of the SBRRB is to consider impact to small businesses and recommend rule changes to Governor’s office for final approval.  Thus your testimony should speak to the candidates advantage but should also say how it is good for small business and good for Hawaii in an economic/greater public good sense. I will work to edit our previous testimony to add a paragraph which addresses the positive impact to business. It would be great for you to tell your personal story – how your firm and Hawaii’s economy would benefit.
