2012 NCARB Practice Analysis Survey

The 2012 NCARB Practice Analysis Survey has officially launched. Watch your inbox this month for an e-mail from NCARB containing the survey link, or click here to access the survey directly.
We know there are a lot of demands on your time, but when it comes to planning for the programs that impact the profession—like the Intern Development Program (IDP) and the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®), your insight and expertise is invaluable.
NCARB is asking for about an hour of your time to participate in the survey, which can be completed in multiple short sessions. The survey will inform several important programs pertinent to the profession, so it's time well spent.
To sweeten the pot, upon completing the survey, you will be eligible to enter a drawing for a $50 Visa Rewards gift card. NCARB will give away 100 cards in total, drawing 25 names during each of the four weeks the survey is open. Complete the survey by 2 p.m. EST tomorrow, Friday, April 6, and your name will be included in this week's drawing, as well as the three following week's drawings. The earlier you complete the survey, the more chances you have to win!
When you receive the electronic survey, please respond—it's an important opportunity to give back to your profession and its future.
If you didn't receive the e-mail, check to make sure it didn't go into your junk mail folder, or you can access the survey through this link or at www.ncarb.org. The deadline for completing the survey is 30 April 2012.

April: MECO Maalaea Power Plant Tour

This month's General Membership Meeting includes a tour of the Maalaea Power Plant.   MECO has given us the following dress requirements:  tennis shoes or boots, long pants and t-shirts are fine.  MECO will provide the necessary ear protection and hard hats at the power plant.

There will be a security guard who will inform you where to park. However, there is limited parking at the plant so we would like to car pool from the Kahili Restaurant after the meeting since the restaurant is very close to the Maalaea Power Plant.

MECO also requires a signed waiver beforehand.  Please let Nanette know if you are attending the tour and have not turned in your waiver.
